HOWE’s Application of TMI’s Personal EQ Meter Test
Author: Michael Jacobsen | Position: Managing Director
Client: HOWE

“The old proverb about the employees being the most important resource in the organisation is wrong – only the right employees are the most important resource. In order to develop from a good organisation to a fantastic organisation, it is absolutely vital to select the right employees the first time. By working with the PEQM test we have acquired a more exact understanding of the kind of qualifications that the organisation is looking for in staff.”
Michael Jacobsen, Managing Director of HOWE a/s

Who is HOWE?
HOWE a/s was founded in 1989 as a subsidiary approximately 80 years after HOWE Furniture Corporation was established in the USA. In order to expand its leading position in the furniture market, HOWE merged with the major furniture conglomerate, Falcon Products Inc. in early 1998.

Today, the HOWE/Falcon organisations have 11 furniture factories distributed all over the world from China to the Czech Republic. On a worldwide basis, the organisations employ more than 2,800 staff and they have a total annual turnover of approx. 300 million USD.

HOWE’s European head office is well situated centrally in Denmark and has a perfect distribution network to the rest of Europe and the rest of the world except for North and South America.

Denmark employs a total of 40 competent, loyal and committed staff members. Within the last few years, HOWE has worked on the implementation of an ambitious plan for making the company an effective and aggressive marketing and development organisation.

Part of the plan is to triple HOWE’s progress and growth in the course of the next five years – in an unlimited Europe without borders, where people draw together to create new opportunities.

We strive to be internationally recognised for being innovative and profoundly committed to achieving the absolute best in respect of production, technical solutions, quality and customer service.

We wish to create a business environment where a high ethical standard and consideration of the environment is regarded as vital to the success of the organisation.

We intend to make every effort for HOWE to become a world-class organisation in all respects.
