Personal EQ Meter – Internet test
Synopsis
The Internet-based version of the Personal EQ Meter is an ideal way for the individual who wants to be able to take the test at a time and place convenient to them, and get feedback from a TMI certified consultant.

After extensive research TMI has launched an internet-based emotional intelligence test for personal evaluation and development: Personal EQ Meter (PEQM). In due course, the test system will be used by the entire TMI partner network of close to 40 countries.

The Personal EQ Meter is a help to render visible a staff member's personal aptitudes and skills. It is a tool to bring to light the human qualities that may not be related to professional skills, but which are all-important for an employee to be successful and do well in the organisation. Among other things, a PEQM test makes it possible to compare a staff member's - or a job applicant's - emotional intelligence profile to the profiles of other applicants.

The idea of making the test internet-based is that the respondent can sit the test at home or at work at a time that suits him/her. The scoring or calculation of the results is also done automatically, which means that consultants or personnel managers, who are certified to use the test, can present the results to the respondent immediately after the responses have been submitted on the Internet. Additionally, the automatic system eliminates the risk of mistakes, which easily happen when a test is scored manually.

Before sitting the test, the respondent should contact a test certified TMI consultant for a password to the test. As soon as the test is completed, the data is forwarded to TMI. The test consultant downloads the test results and ensures that the respondent gets his/her results, perhaps at a personal meeting. This helps to ensure that the respondents will receive the right instructions before sitting the test and are offered personal feedback after the test.

The internet-based tests work by means of SPSS software, which makes it possible to process large amounts of data and increase the validity of the test.
