World renowned IT company, EMEA – New people development strategy

Our client is a technology solutions company that operates in more than 170 countries around the world. Their Supply Chain Division conducted an independent research study into their leadership capabilities and manufacturing performance. The results indicated that they are lacking a long-term management and employee development strategy, and this may put at risk plans to expand and offer more valued change management and consulting services to customers. This would also hinder their efforts to create a new working climate in which teamwork, collaboration and fun can replace the historic process management operation that focused on technical processes only. TMI helped the client design and deliver a series of change initiatives, including workshops for managers and staff to help introduce and implement a new developmental and cultural framework.

What was delivered:
  • Workshops designed to introduce the People Development Strategy, and the supporting framework
  • An evaluation framework and supporting tools
  • Training and accreditation of a pool of facilitators to co-deliver with TMI
  • A kick-off conference attended by 100 EMEA managers to launch the strategy, and increase senior managers’ knowledge and skills
  • Ongoing advice and guidance on good practices in key subject areas, e.g. performance management, change management, cultural development and leadership development.

What has been achieved:
  • Using their internal workforce satisfaction survey our client identified significant improvements in employee satisfaction, specifically in relation to career development and succession planning
  • Substantially improved retention of high performers.

“Best training I’ve ever been on in 20 years – no boring break out groups working on presentations then spending hours listening to the same topic being presented. Excellent facilitators.”
